Sunday 8th
Got woken up by Emily at 9.30 I was very impressed they actually went for a jog as we had planned yesterday - but I was still in bed ;)
Had a shower and headed to the beach. Had a lovely muislei - thanks to Laurens healthy influence! - wth yoghurt and orange juice for 110 baht and chilled out on the beach. I finished my book and we all had a dip, playing mallots mallot with my blow up hammer ?! - and swam the lenght of the beach. I managed to coerce the girls into swimming in the nuddie which Lottie was well up for, Lauren with a bit of encouragement and I dont think Emily quite managed it!
Was introduced to vanilla milkshake which for 60 baht was absolutely gorgeous. I finished my book already and went for a wander. The girls spotted some fit blokes playing volleyball so I asked if they wanted a game. It was actually quite hilarious - I havnt played much volleyball and Lottie and Lauren both identified themselves as as crap but personally I dodnt think we were ALL that bad, it was a really nice afternoon and we went for a dip after because it was sooooo hot and sweaty. Im afraid, Im sunburt already. I had a cold shower (not theres much choice) and changed for the evening. Did a bit of talking research as I like to put it - any excuse for a chat with the locals. I suggested to the girls about hiring a jeep to explore Ko Pang Yang.
Went for meal at place with a lovely vibe right at the north end of the beach thay I had discovered earlier today. An hour and a half later and I chase the food because our stpomachs were eating themselves - they had lost the order and hadnt even ordered it yet! It didnt arrive til 10pm! Wasn't impressed! Had to assert self control its a very smiley smiley country and it is extremely insultuing to 'lose face' ie get mad!! When it arrived was very nice - Thai Green Curry bacardi breezer and water 210 baht.
We went for a drink at one of the beach bars - my favourite a mojito cocktail 150 baht.
Sunburt so had a late night shower bed 12.36ish! Looking forward to jeep day tomorrow. Wde are meeting up with austrian friends of lauren and lotties they met earlier in their travels.
Best thing: Playing volleyball with the guys
Worst thing: Waiting for food and sunburn!
Funniest thing: Being crap at volleyball and skinnydipping.
Money spent: Breakfast (muslei and orange juice) 110 baht, vanilla milkshake 60 baht, dinner (Thai green curry and bacardi breezer) 210 baht, mojito cocktail 150 baht TOTAL: 530 baht / 10.60
